Proverbs Chapter 8 Wisdom

There are thousands of Trinitarian denominations in the world and a total of two billion members. It is therefore understandable that most of the biblical commentaries are written by Trinitarians.

Thus, there are three Gods which together form one God. Many texts offer two possibilities of interpretation, and the Trinitarians, according to their doctrine, interpret that there is an almighty God in Jesus’ form in certain verses. Take, for example, Proverbs chapter 8.

1 Does not wisdom cry out? Does not understanding raise her voice? 12 I, wisdom, have made prudence my dwelling. Find out knowledge and discretion. 22 Jehovah possessed me in the beginning of his work, before his deeds of old. 23 I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, Before the earth existed. 24 When there were no depths, I was brought forth, When there were no springs abounding with water. 25 Before the mountains were settled in place, Before the hills, I was brought forth; 26 While as yet he had not made the earth, nor the fields, Nor the beginning of the dust of the world.
27 When he established the heavens, I was there; When he set a circle on the surface of the deep,
28 When he established the clouds above, When the springs of the deep became strong,
29 When he gave to the sea its boundary, That the waters should not violate his commandment, When he marked out the foundations of the earth;
30 Then I was the craftsman by his side. I was a delight day by day, Always rejoicing before him, 31 Rejoicing in his whole world. My delight was with the sons of men.

Although it can be said that Jesus, as a human being, became God’s Word. He preached the coming kingdom of God and did all what God told Him to do. Observe that Jesus became God’s word when He as a human being announced God’s will to mankind. It does not mean that he has been with God before the dawn of time except in God’s mind and plans. Jesus was God’s messenger to mankind in later times while the prophets delivered God’s word in OT times.

I believe that Jesus and His disciples were part of God’s foreknowledge at the beginning of time (1 Pet 1:1-2). In fact, when the Lord God alone created the material world with the power of His word, Jesus created the new world that is in many respects spiritual and will start when sin is purged from people.

Many are inclined to believe that Jesus had been created by God and lived in heaven already at the beginning of time. I personally think the correct interpretation is that Jesus was with God, but only in God’s thoughts and in His plans. So were also the apostles in God’s mind. But who believes that the apostles were in heaven with God and Jesus? What about the other God’s chosen ones?
