All Things Were Made Through Him – The Word Was God (Jhn 1:1)

1:1 In the beginning, the Word existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God.  2 He existed in the beginning with God. 3 Through him all things were made, and apart from him nothing was made that has been made.

However, there is a word order error here. The CLV Bible translation translates the verse correctly:  “In the beginning was the word, and the word was toward God, and God was the word.” Textus Receptus shows the original wording: θεὸς ἦν ὁ λόγος.

1 In the beginning the Word was, and the Word was with :God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with :God. 3 All things became through him; and without him nothing became that had become. – Again we see that theologians change the meaning of the word logos by personalizing it with the word he, which refers to Jesus. ’Through him’, should be through his word. In the OT, however, Proverbs 3:19 tells: Jehovah by wisdom founded the earth; by understanding he established the heavens.

1 Jhn 1:1 What existed from the beginning, what we have heard, what we have seen with our eyes, what we observed and touched with our own hands—this is the Word of life! 2 This life was revealed to us, and we have seen it and testify about it. We declare to you this eternal life that was with the Father and was revealed to us.  – What did the apostles watch? They watched the eternal life which was with the Father and was manifested to the apostles.

1 Joh 1:1 That which was from the beginning, that which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes; that which we contemplated, and our hands handled, concerning the word of life; 1:2 This life was revealed to us, and we have seen it and testify about it. We declare to you this eternal life that was with the Father and was revealed to us. – What did the apostles watch? They looked at the eternal life that was with the Father and appeared to the Apostles.

Heb 4:12 For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any double-edged sword, piercing until it divides soul and spirit, joints and marrow, as it judges the thoughts and purposes of the heart. – The personalization of the Word of God to Jesus took place only in the 1500-1600 chapter; the KJV in 1611 changed the course. The earlier Bible texts uttered ’IT’ rather than ’He’, among others The Bishop’s Bible dating back to 1568.

2 Pet 3:5 But they deliberately ignore the fact that long ago the heavens existed and the earth was formed by God’s word out of water and with water,

The aforementioned few examples are just a small extract of the verses that show that everything is created by the power of the word (will) of God, not by Jesus. When God speaks His word), He expresses His thoughts (His plan). All that God says or wants, happens. The whole universe was created by the power of God’s word. Christ was creating a new world (the coming world era) by redeeming mankind from the burden of sin through his own death by crucifixion.

Prov 3:19 Jehovah founded the earth by wisdom; He founded the heavens by understanding; 20 By his knowledge, the depths were broken up, And the skies drop down the dew. Rev 4:11 Lord, you are worthy to receive the glory and the honor and the power, because you created all things, and through your will they exist and were created. – God created the world with His word. Isaiah, on the other hand, says that God created the world alone. Jesus Christ did not create the universe, but he has created a new world to come. Yet Jesus became God’s Word with His activity on earth.
